Selling KGOLD
Selling KGOLD through the Kulce portal lets you convert KGOLD back into USDT through a controlled, on-chain market process.
Before you can sell, your wallet must be connected, KYC must be completed, and your wallet must be approved through the whitelist smart contract. You also need enough KGOLD in your wallet for the amount you want to sell.
Selling Flow at a Glance
Before You Sell
To sell KGOLD, you need:
- A connected or embedded wallet.
- Completed KYC verification.
- Whitelist approval for your wallet.
- KGOLD available in your wallet.
- Market pricing to be available.
The portal will show whether your wallet is ready for market activity. If your wallet is not approved, you will not be able to complete a sell request.
Entering Your Amount
You can start a sell request by entering either:
- The amount of KGOLD you want to sell.
- The amount of USDT you want to receive.
The portal will show the estimated result before you submit the request.
Reviewing the Quote
KGOLD sell pricing is based on live gold market data from Pyth. Before you confirm, the portal shows the expected USDT amount, applicable fees, and the current quote.
Because gold prices can move, quotes are time-sensitive. If the price changes beyond the accepted range before submission, the transaction may not continue under the older quote. You can refresh and review the updated quote before trying again.
Submitting the Sell Request
After you confirm the quote, the portal submits your sell request on-chain. Your KGOLD is committed to the request while it is being processed.
For requests below Kulce's configured auto-approval limits, the auto-approval mechanism can complete the flow automatically. Larger or otherwise review-required requests may go through Kulce's settlement process before USDT is sent to your wallet.
Receiving USDT
Once the request is approved and completed, USDT is sent to your wallet. The KGOLD sold through the request is removed from circulation.
You can view the completed activity in the Kulce portal and, where supported, through block explorers.
Transaction Costs
Kulce is designed to make Ethereum transactions easier to use. You can cover transaction costs through USDT, so you do not need to keep separate ETH just for gas when using supported portal flows.
When Selling Is Unavailable
Selling may be temporarily unavailable if:
- Your wallet is not whitelisted.
- KYC verification is incomplete.
- You do not have enough KGOLD.
- The gold market price feed is closed, stale, or unavailable.
- The requested amount is outside current market limits.
- The market is paused or temporarily restricted.
If selling is unavailable, the portal will guide you toward the next action when possible.
