Decimals and Units
KGOLD is designed to make gold ownership easy to understand. The main unit is simple:
1 KGOLD = 1 gram of gold
When you see a KGOLD balance in the Kulce portal, the amount is shown in this familiar unit.
Why Decimals Exist
Ethereum tokens can support decimal places, just like traditional currencies can support cents. KGOLD uses 18 decimals, which is common for ERC-20 tokens.
This means KGOLD can represent very small fractions of one gram when needed. For example, you do not always need to buy or sell a full 1 KGOLD. The portal can support fractional amounts depending on the available market rules and minimum trade limits.
What You Need to Remember
You do not need to calculate decimals manually. The Kulce portal handles token decimals automatically when showing balances, quotes, and transaction amounts.
In practice:
1 KGOLDmeans one gram of gold.0.5 KGOLDmeans half a gram of gold.10 KGOLDmeans ten grams of gold.
The technical decimal format exists in the background so Ethereum can process KGOLD precisely.
Wallet Displays
Supported wallets and block explorers may show KGOLD with decimal places. This is normal for ERC-20 tokens.
If a wallet does not automatically recognize KGOLD after deployment, you may need to add the official token address manually. Once added, the wallet should display your KGOLD balance using the token's decimal settings.
