ERC-20 Standard

KGOLD is built as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum Mainnet. ERC-20 is the most widely used token standard on Ethereum, which makes KGOLD compatible with common wallets, explorers, and blockchain infrastructure.

What ERC-20 Means for KGOLD

Because KGOLD follows the ERC-20 standard, your token balance can be viewed on-chain and displayed by supported Ethereum wallets. Transfers, approvals, and balances follow familiar Ethereum token behavior.

For KGOLD, the business unit is simple:

1 KGOLD = 1 gram of gold

KGOLD uses 18 decimals, which is common for Ethereum tokens. The portal handles this automatically, so you can view and enter KGOLD amounts in a familiar format.

Compatibility

ERC-20 compatibility helps KGOLD work with:

  • Ethereum wallets.
  • Block explorers such as Etherscan.
  • Portfolio dashboards.
  • On-chain transaction history.
  • Standard token balance displays.

This makes KGOLD easier to hold, monitor, and verify directly from your wallet.

Future DeFi Possibilities

Because KGOLD follows the ERC-20 standard, it may also become compatible with broader DeFi use cases in the future. This could include integrations such as lending markets, collateral use cases, or other tokenized-asset infrastructure, depending on regulatory, technical, and market requirements.

These integrations are not required to use KGOLD through the Kulce portal, and availability will depend on future product and ecosystem development.

A Regulated Market Layer

Although KGOLD is an ERC-20 token, buying and selling through the Kulce market requires a verified wallet. The market checks the whitelist smart contract before accepting buy or sell requests.

This means KGOLD combines standard Ethereum token compatibility with a controlled market experience designed for regulated tokenized gold.
