Pricing and Oracle

Kulce uses live gold market data to calculate KGOLD buy and sell quotes. The goal is to make pricing clear, current, and reliable before you submit a transaction.

Gold Price Source​

KGOLD pricing is based on the XAU/USD gold market. Kulce uses Pyth as the oracle provider for live gold price data.

Pyth XAU/USD Oracle​

Pyth provides the gold price feed used by the Kulce market. When you request to buy or sell KGOLD, the portal prepares a quote using the latest available market data.

The market checks that the price data is fresh and reliable before allowing the request to continue. If the feed is closed, stale, unavailable, or unusually uncertain, the portal may disable trading or ask you to refresh the quote.

Quote Calculation​

Before you confirm a buy or sell request, the portal shows a quote. The quote may include:

  • The KGOLD amount.
  • The USDT amount.
  • The current market price.
  • Applicable fees.
  • The expected result after pricing and fees.

For a buy request, the quote shows how much KGOLD you are expected to receive for your USDT. For a sell request, the quote shows how much USDT you are expected to receive for your KGOLD.

Spread and Slippage​

The market spread is part of the difference between the buy and sell price. It helps the market operate in changing conditions and supports a controlled trading experience.

Slippage protection helps protect you from receiving a worse result than expected if the price changes before your transaction is submitted. If the price moves beyond the accepted range, the transaction will not continue under the older quote.

When this happens, you can refresh the quote and review the updated details before trying again.

Price Freshness​

Gold prices can move quickly. Kulce checks price freshness so that old market data is not used for new buy or sell requests.

If a quote becomes too old, the portal may reject it and ask you to refresh. This helps ensure that KGOLD transactions are based on current market conditions.

Oracle Failure Handling​

If the oracle feed is unavailable or cannot provide reliable pricing, Kulce may temporarily disable buying and selling.

This can happen when:

  • The Pyth XAU/USD feed is closed.
  • The price update is stale.
  • The price confidence range is too wide.
  • The oracle service is temporarily unavailable.
  • Market conditions prevent reliable quote execution.

In these cases, existing balances remain visible, but new buy or sell requests may not be available until reliable pricing returns.
